I thought I would blog for the fun of it. It has been awhile since I used more than my Ipod experience here. So yes, sitting here, a cold Swedish evening. Trying hard to not go outside, but I think I will in a bit anyway. Need bananas. :P No ducklings, not for that. I use real stuff for that stuff.

Just remembered that it is 3 years since I left Sydney now. Lots of things has changed in Sydney, and all that I have left is memories. :( But aren't they nice? Like when I had an allergic reaction caused by my cough-medicine and walked in full drag in Mardi Gras almost collapsing on the way back. Or when I was dutefully handled with a view over the two docks on the 16th floor of a CBD highrise. Or dancing my little arse away with my sweeties Davy and Suzie at the groovy yet always seedy Ceasars, with all the bulldykes and lovely west-syd clientel. Or toungue wrestling with one of my sweeties. Or just walking around the city with warm weather all around feeling so nice and free! Yes, I do miss Sydney!

Well, kiddies, time for me to run out and buy those bananas as I talked about!

James iPod Top 5

1. I have been a norty boy and not written about my experience for awhile. I need a spanking kind sir. Really I do! Come on! Give me one dammit! :P

Anyway. Things are more or less the same in the realm of Fair James. Still living in Boring-Ass. New flatmates tho. This time its three Iranians. They are pretty good I guess. Still doing uni. My last year. The almost last weekend of my life. :P Yes... soon I will be digged down in a nice library somewhere in Sweden dreaming of my loose and nice studentlife. Hopefully. I will need to do an D-essay first.

My lovelife? Hm... well its not really that interesting either. No distressed knight to warmth my bed late at night. No distressed knight to hold on to during the night. And no distressed knight to rescue from eviiil people. But I am not distressed. I prolly find someone eventually. In the end. Or not. But that is OK, I will surpass.

Oh, now I turned 26. The magical year where you are totally adult in Sweden. Until your 26th birthday you can travel on youthticket with the rail. Now I am REALLY old. Yes, babies. Soon I will start walking around with a walking stick and gnarl at young hillbillies-wannabe-queens that they dun have any manners. :) And that IN MY DAYS we were much more appealing. And yes. Soon I will start to drool over the 20-something old guys at the local beat. I CAN'T WAIT! :P

Anyway. Time for me to go. But hope u have a good life babies. Wonder if I will grow up to see that birthday. :) Well it is 34 years to go.

Anyway... all this talk about my imminent 60th birthday has made me turned tired. So am going to pack and then go to bed. Sleep tite bussoms....

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fairjames.blogspot.com/2005/05/be-warned-i-am-growing-old-and-cranky.html' title='Be warned... I mean it was such a nice week with lots of sun and all of that I had to miss to be able to do my assignment in time. Anyway... did succeed... am finished... will probably have to do it all over again when they have corrected it... but what does that matter? Then finally I might understand what the f**k the question was all about.

Nuffing new in the world of fair James. Everything is scarily quiet. The only thing that makes me unhappy right now is the eyelid infection that has jumped upon me... Yes I look very alike the sweet ringer at Notre Dame. AND NO! I havent been in a fight. But perhaps I was punching myself in my sleep the other night. HM... I can probably get hired to scare youngsters at kiddie parties tho...

In reply to sweet Dave who apparently didn't understand my inclination for left politics: DUH! Tough lurv hun! :P And no. I haven't changed views on the violent revolution... still think that is undefendable. Agitated revolution. That's my mantra. But I still find that you should feel solidarity with your brotha's and sista's. WILL demonstrate on 1 of May tho. :) Haven't still decided which grouping to join tho. Probably the Left Party again.

Anyway... need to go to uni and turn in my assignment now. If I can figure out how to actually hand it in... :) Life is difficult now. I want to go back to the time when I only had to turn in a picture-collage and get praise while doing it. :)

From a cloudy boring-ass to a shiny sunny world!

Ninth hole... and dammit where is the duck?

Hello kiddies! It is not really working all that good. Have to write a big assignment for next week, and that is when I finally got time to write in my blogger. So if some of me ole mates (hell... why not also new ones...) want to see how I look nowadays dun hesitate to ask me.

Another thing that has improved me life totally is my new iPod... I am not sure how I survived without it... and I have only had it for a week. hehe well I might have a addictive nature. But I am sure that's forgiven. They could not get the penguins to procreate at the local zoo. There were five happy penguincouples but none of them had had offsprings for years. The management tried to solve the problem by importing three lady penguins from Sweden. They probably thought to themselves: "Well... if three Ingas from Sweden can't solve the problem. Frankly who can?" However to the dismay of the management the males available did not find the newcomers as anything more than just some other penguins.

How is this to be? Things that pleases God and things that displeases God. Stuff that apparently pleases God is to love thine brother and thine wife and thine children and thine neighbour. However according to this text they call the Bible loving anyone of the same sex is not sanctioned by God. That is... if u want to please God and live rightly by him u should if u have the inclination of loving thine neighbour more than a neighbour not love at all. U should subject urself to a life of lying to urself and never ever think of the same gender as anything else than ur friend. This pleases God.

My friend told me today that he could not see me anymore. Or he could not let himself to feel anything more for me than just being a friend. This from the same friend who told me just a few days ago that he loved me. I am not criticizing his choice. I mean. It is his choice to make. I dun have a saying in it. Even if I do love him too. But I will go on. My heart will go on. And I do find it better to get the rejection now than in 20 years when he has another crisis of faith. And I cannot fight a text that has been around for more than 2000 years. Which has changed the fabric of life as we know it. But I wish to fight it. I wish that I could make him understand or his God that the way I express love is not something bad. Is it really better for me to not love at all?

One other of my Christian friends told me he thought that the message of his God is to make a peaceful world. I believe this to be true. But how is to love thine neighbour more than thine neighbour making war? Is it not making true peace with people to love them unconditionally?

Yes. There is sex between homosexuals. But there are sex between supposedly right-living Christians too. The only difference is that they do it inside the marriage and only to procreate I assume. However there are men and women who is not capable of getting children. These men and women can get married to each other anyway and can have sanctioned sex. Is this not sinful too then? Shouldn't everyone then do a test; if they are capable to give life to children they are allowed to have sex and if not they can never ever touch another person again. Of course not! Because it's a ridiculous thought! So why is it that same sex couple's inability of procreation bears such an importance? Why should homosexuals be left out off what the rest of the world are allowed to actually do: ENJOY SEX?

So in reply to the one who turned me down in fear of his God. I respect ur decision and I do hope u will have a good life, and hope u find someone who u can share it with. Because life on this earth is all so lonely without that special someone.

Gawd James is tired...

Such an odd heading I hear the masses whisper already now before I even published this posting. Well its not only odd its a tired posting too...

It all started Monday night when James could not sleep. Well after a few hours of squirming he fell asleep only to be awaken by the evil sound of housemates talking from outside his room in the kitchen. He looked at the alarmclock and saw... well fair enuff... 8 AM. He didn't think about it that much, since it's a reasonable time to start talk little more lively. Anyway... he could not fall back to sleep so he stayed up.

James did an exam that day, which some people thought the day after was a very short timed exam, but James only used 50 mins of the 2 hours given. After the exam he went to GBG to meet a friend that he had been neglacting, and they talked until James' first film started. It was a real nice film about some elderly people doing a show together with the dance theatre legend Pina Baush. Then it was a break for like an hour and then Der Untergang started. That film was so good. James was sitting for 2 and half hour just astound by the reality of the things being played out on the screen. He thought it was interesting the way that Hitler was portrayed as a somewhat mad but still very human and sometimes even kind person.

Anyway... when James got off from the film he knew he would have a hard time to catch the train. Well not really hard since it was rather close to the station but still... he wasnt totally sure he would make it. However he was so happy when he arrived to the station at 23.00 half an hour before the train should leave. But his heart sank down when he looked at the screen and it were no train going home to B. He quickly jogged to the internet cafe that is in the station and bought an hour there. He was baffled with the realisation that there were no trains going home, but relieved when he found a bus. However the bus did not leave until 0.15 and would not be in B until 1.20. James had no choice but to wait however since he wanted to get home to B.

Well the busride was going very fast since James was too tired and unknowingly slept through the whole ride. Then he had to walk another 5-10 to get home. At 2 AM he was finally in bed to sleep. The next morning he was as always waked up by his loud housemates talking in Dutch. He looked at the clock. 7 AM!!! Of course he could not sleep again after that, even if he did his best.

Then he had to help out at the Union Fair. Sitting there tired ass and trying to look happy and gay and inviting to newcomers. And most of the time sitting all ALONE. :(

Anyhow after that he had to live through a whole class of cataloging... which in a awaken state mite be fun... but now was soooo not fun. [Ed. note: Yes. I know. It is starting to get a bit boring and whining at this point... so that's why we have excluded all the funny facts of what happened after the class etc.]

So yes. Even if Spike Lee's She Hate Me involves more than three people it still comes back to the holy threesome. This of course is an old theme that Hollywood and non-Hollywood have been battling with for as long as they have produced films. Usually it is a woman/man who is torn between two of the opposite gender. However there are films that problematize the dangerous threesome and adds the sexuality aspect. Films with this theme are Threesome (yes its from the mid 90's but still quite contemprary eh?) and Y tu mama tambien (Mexican road-move from late 90's too).

Threesome is about a straight man, a gay man and a straight girl. They are turned on by eachother. The straight girl is attracted to the gay guy, the gay guy wants the straight male, and the straight man wants the straight girl. They decide after a drunken night to try to have sex the three of them. But this actually makes the friendship between the three break up. The sensomorale seems to be not to play with your friends I guess. And that you should not mix genders in a dorm because it will end in no good...(?!?) In Y Tu Mama Tambien there is two straight guys who want to get busy an older woman. They also have sex and the relationship breaks down, and the woman even dies in the end. Here the morale of the boys and the lack of it from the woman leads them to a devastating end.

She Hate Me adds another layer to the problem. Here it is two lesbians who wants a child and the ex-boyfriend who comes into picture to breed. However the strong lesbian relationship in the beginning seems to become more unsure after the sex. However the ending suggests something different than Threesome and Y Tu Mama Tambien. The traditional ending would have been in that of a living hell and unhappiness. However not in this film, because it ends in a happy threesome. Or rather a relationship between three adult people. Maybe this was possible solely because they are attracted to the "right" person in the relationship (which does not happen in T and YTMT). This is still a break with the traditional ending.

Why is it that T’s and YTMT’s threesome ends with unhappiness? Maybe this is a cope-out to the more traditional family values where sex outside a commited heterosexual relationship is something bad. Also this could be a re-conformation of the happy twosome. The earlier movies seems to say it is OK to fool around with it, but then you always have to deal with the consequences. And it always ends bad. However is this always the case? Is it possible to love more than one person? To have a relationship that crosses the Western traditional two-makes-a-couple-setting? She Hate Me seems to suggest just that.

In the Bible there is of course lots of examples of threesomes. The three wise men for one thing, but also of course God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. Maybe it is possible to let the holy script lead the way and to make an exploration of the threesome as something else than sinful and bound for disaster. For this I applaud Spike Lee for putting She hate Me out there, but at the same time I would like to see a film where it is explored fully and not as just one plot of many.

Tell me why?

Why is it that I always get the time wrong? Come out wherever you are

I am open. Well. My body is not opened up for everyone to see my organs. But I am open minded and open about my sexuality. Not necessarily my own homosexuality. I do not believe that a person can be truely homosexual or heterosexual or even bisexual. I do believe that there are relationships that can be either gay or straight or bisexual in their nature.

This is not a cheap trick to not have to face oneown's sexuality. I mean I am VERY comfortable sleeping with men, and falling in love with em. Relationshipwise I might be a bit inept, but hey! Who isn't?

What I have observed during my life is the way that people goes from one gender to the next in their love making. People who thought they were either totally gay or totally straight all of a sudden discover that they can play for both teams. Or goes from a referee to just one team, to go back to become a referee again. I think it would be easier if everyone just acknowledge their capacity to love and act thereafter. Why make life harder than it is?

Now there is lot's of phobias around bisexuals; whilst most of us prolly have feelings usually connected to bisexuality. If everyone is bisexual [little like in Ancient Greece], then there is no need to talk about bisexuality per se since everyone is. It is the same with heterosexuality... as long as everyone looked and acted heterosexual then there was no need for the word homosexuality. This is even more apparent when you accept the fact that heterosexuality was constructed after homosexuality.

The final frontier for acceptance is one's own brain.

Young Dorothy had her red shoes. She got accepted. I tell you brothers and sisters! It is not necessary to live in the sexuality-closet! Follow Dorothy and "come out. Come out wherever you are!"

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fairjames.blogspot.com/2005/01/come-out-come-out-wherever-you-are.html' title='Come out. AND HAS SPOILERS.... :) So if you haven't seen Alexander and want to see it do NOT read the first paragraph.

Last night I went to see Alexander, the one with sex muffin Farrell and the beautiful Jared Leto. I knew when I got there that there were not going to be any hot sexscenes between Farrell and Leto. But there is lots of moments between them though, as the clumpsy lovescene where they promise each other eternal love. The message was all through the movie that they deeply loved each other. Read a review on imdb.com where the reviewer questions if there was sex between Alexander and Hefaiston. I am not sure, but they did spend that night in Alexander's bedroom in Babylon together. And well... of course there is a possibility that they chatted the night through, but I doubt it... :) Yet maybe that is just me trying to inject some lurvaction!

And the nice people at godhatesfags.com has dun it again! : / After a track record of harrassing mourners at funerals of people who have died of AIDS or been stabbed to death in hate crimes and condamning George Bush of being to liberal they are now attacking the whole nation of Sweden. These god loving people are actually saying that they hope that all 5000 Swedish tourists in Thailand has died in the tsunami, because Sweden is supposedly a sinful country (little like the fair cities of Sodom and Gohmorra). Now my question is, don't these people have any shame? It's despicable to gloat at people in pain! And even to think that God would punish innoncent children for what their parents have dun is ghastly to think. If they were right, lemme tell ya! I do not want to have anything to with such a God!

So yes. Something good and something bad. The change for a better world will come, right?

Requiem for a New Year

Now its 2005. Sitting here 10PM in my fair abode soon going to bed. New Years was fun... thanks T for hospitality and for not standing me up. :)

Now as I said New Years was fun except for this heterosexual man who was verbally abusing me at a gay club for trying to pick him up. First of all if he had had any braincells he would have noticed that I was not interested in his sorry straight ass, coz I was paying T all my attention. I do find it interesting that some heterosexual men thinks that as soon as you look at them in gay club u want to pick them up. The other thing I find fascinating is that they always thinks they look straight, and that any gay man at the gay club should think that they are straight. Well... they might not dance well or look that good, but is that a sure sign of a guy being straight??

I am not suggesting that a hetereosexual guy going to a gay club should put out just for the fun of it... and I am not saying that all heterosexual guys are as insecure. But I do find it disturbing. Why are straight guys coming to places where they dun feel comfortable? Are they that insecure about themselves that they can't say no to their girlfriends when the girls want to have a night out at the local pink bar?

And what do they really think? If you are at a gay disco, and you see a guy who you might be attracted to; should you not go up to him and talk or perhaps dance close to him? Only because the guy might be straight. It is the same thing as for a straight guy going to a straight disco never ever looking at girls because they might be lesbian.

Of course nobody should be harrassed. Howeva guys going to gay discos should be able to be nice about the guys that are desperate enough to make a pass on them, maybe even be little flattered, but if necessary nicely make clear that they are not interested.

And the people who brings these troubled boys to places where they dun feel comfortable should take care of them. Guide them to become less tense. Or perhaps not taking them there at all? I do not mind heterosexual girls going to gay clubs, but they should also know that they actually bring in the same problems which they are trying to escape if they bring their insecure heterosexual friends.

Anyway, time for me to head into bed and get a beauty nap... :) A new year has arrived to Sweden and to the rest of the world... methinks... and this year... I hope we get little closer to a world where gay men dun have to be afraid to be crudely bashed or insulted at supposedly gay places.

Times are flying by my dear! Better get an crash helmet!

So kiddies! Time to recap the year as a good storyteller always does. It has been quite an exciting year, tho my efforts of taking it cool... :P

The year started off in Malmo, the Swedish gay city of the South. I had a blast there, living with funky international studs (well some of em were good looking... if ya ever read this you hunks, you will know who you are! :) ). Helga Van Afack even made an appearance with her intergalactic nurse outfit, due to too much sangria she went down early in the night tho. Rumours even say that she threw up on a carpet.

I was in the fab play “A Raisin in the Sun”, trying to battle my fear of kissing girls while playing a frisky heterosexual who did not get any sex. This was fun and in the end sorta convincing methinks. The closing party, with a brief appearance of Helga, became a wet event ending in our fab international abode.

The summer was spent in a rainy Malmo trying to get people to sing up for charity. That was also fun, especially the breaks when we could get out of the bloody rain. But I did learn something that month I was in pouring rain… always look on the bright side of life.

The other exciting news I got was that I got in to the education I wanted to read in Borås. So the later time of the year has been spent in a backdrop city far far away from anything resembling a gay life. At least I should have earned some butch points on the way. And now, Borås is accidentally also one of the rainiest places in Sweden, so the autumn and early winter was spend walking under an umbrella.

Skipping straight to Xmas, this was spent in my little village up north, with moi and my parents and assorted relatives and a cold. I did get some good pressies tho… amongst other things a box of Optimistic thoughts. I have decided I will take one of these cards every now and then and make these words a leading star in my life.

“Aim for the stars!”

Well these are the good words for today kittens… so you better bundle up on cheese and put on yar moonboots coz we are going to the stars now babies!!

Things I’ve learned this year:
+You are as gay as you make yarself
+Never cycle on a wet day
+Gothenburg can possible be the heaven on earth

Lines I will take with me from this year:
+You broke my heart, and I go shopping shopping!
+I never said I loved you and I lied!

Finally… to anyone who is as confused as I am over this posting… plz write back and tell me wot you thin k I wrote!

James

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fairjames.blogspot.com/2004/12/times-are-flying-by-my-dear-better-get.html' title='Times are flying by my dear! Time to make something clear. BORÅS makes me peeved. No... I dun know why it peeves me... but it just does. Lived here for 6 months now, and I am sooo over it. And the thought of maybe have to stay here another year and half makes me clench [and not in a good way]. Well move then I hear ya say? WELL I AM TRYING DAMMIT! :/

I have been told that you should not say that you dun like Boras. You should be happy that it got all the stuff it does. And I am so pleased. I mean, they do have a good theatre, quite good library, and their shops are quite good.

One of many things it misses, and I am not saying that it should have it, but it COULD have it anyway, is a better gay community. But I know how hard it is to run a country-town club for mostly closeted queers. Nobody wants to help out. Nobody cares enuff to do anything. They have their own little sweet lives. But happy to gossip away.

Now as I said I am not sure what is really bugging me.

Maybe it is my complaining flatmate, who made a big scene when she found one of her glasses a bit smudged with some black substance. She JUST wanted to tell me that she wanted her dishes sparkling clean and now it was ALL MY FAULT. Poor girl! I do feel for the poor thing! Having such a small life.

Or could it be cause I want to be somewhere else totally... tanning away under the Australian sun?

So yes, be warned! There is a peeved James out there! And no, he will not scream at you. Or make a scene [well not a big one anyway].

Good stuff in life right now:
1. QX: makes me stay connected...
2. My three new pair of shoes: keeps me walking.
3. My sweet memories of...: keeps me smiling
4. A new found interest: made X happy... :)

Touch of Me

I accidently won tickets to a movie called "Touch of Pink" the other night. It was about a Muslim Indian gay guy whose mother came to visit him in London, not knowing he was gay. The film was ok... especially liked the swimmer-hunk-sub-plot. And of course my childhood sweetie Kyle McLachlan [Agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks] who was playing the Indian guy's imaginary friend Cary Grant.

That got me thinking of my own imaginary friends, Molick and Malick. Now these dudes were the best... they always took me out on mischieves and always helped me out when I needed someone to put the blame on. I am not sure anymore what they looked like; probably short [well they weren't visible after all], tanned and beautiful, probably also in dungarees. I must have forgotten about them after awhile, perhaps when I found dolls much more pleasing to play with. :) Or maybe they thought they weren't needed anymore. That they had made their point, and left me fessing up to my own faults.

But sometimes I wish they were still here with me, playing games with me, and taking the blame for stuff I always seem to end up doing... :)

Introduction to Fair James...

Hm... okie... I will start to document my life just bcoz my friend DayWo tole me to. I am really not that desperate to share every little bit of my life with ya all... mostly coz u would fall asleep... and dun wanna make ya do that darlinks!

So who am I? Well the short version is that I am 25 yo. Earthling. From the fair country of Sweden. In Sweden we have royalty; official royalty called the king and queen of Sweden, but then also less official royalty. Such as me. Now I am not as pressumptious as to call myself king, tho some people do call me a queen for some unknown reason, I just call myself fair. Yes, ducklings, little like the knights of the past. Fighting the sawmills for the right to just be me. The longer version then, I hear ya scream on tops of yar lungs. Well come over to my fair chambers, and I will tell em to yall. But until you do, I will just stick to my fiction.

Now everything you will hear here won't be true. The people I might talk about might not even exist in real life. As I always tell my lovers: "Dear we are all our own fiction! We all write our own Books of Life". But dare I say, in some of the stories you might hear in the future, there are real characters behind, but I must confess that they are not really as bad or as good as I portray them to be. They are just humans. Struggling like everyone else for their right to be themselves, but in my fiction they are what I make them to be.

So fair travellers, fare well... and I will come back to ya soon with a brand new story of "Fair James in the big big World".
